Abstract

This is an assessment of the sustainability of three already-closed United States Department of

Agriculture (USDA) Food for Progress (FFPr) projects in Benin, Guatemala, and Sri Lanka. Conducted

during 2017 to 2019 by the University of Minnesota (UMN), the purpose of this sustainability

assessment is to understand which project activities have continued after USDA?s Food for Progress

funded involvement ended, and what impacts are beneficiaries experiencing as a result. This report

highlights the preliminary conditions, design elements, implementation strategies and project activities

that are likely to facilitate the sustainability of Food for Progress project activities and impacts after a

project has closed.
